1. Introduction & Acceptance
By accessing or using Sato, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Sato.

2. Description of the Service
- Sato is a managed AI assistant hosting platform. Each user gets a dedicated server provisioned and managed by Sato.
- AI responses are generated on the user's server via third-party model providers — Sato does not control or guarantee AI output.
- Optional integrations (such as Telegram) route messages through third-party infrastructure.
3. Account Registration
- Accounts are created via Google OAuth.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- One account per person. You must provide accurate information.
- Sato may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Pricing, Payments & Credits
- Current plans, pricing, and credit allocations are displayed on the pricing page and during checkout.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Sato never stores your card details.
- Credits are non-transferable. Monthly credits and trial credits expire at the end of each billing cycle or when the trial ends, respectively. Purchased top-up credits do not expire while the account is active.
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
5. Refunds & Cancellation
- The 14-day EU withdrawal right applies, but is waived once the user explicitly consents to immediate VPS provisioning (per EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(a)).
- No refunds after VPS is provisioned.
- You can cancel anytime through your account. Service remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- No refunds for unused portions of a billing period.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Sato for:
- illegal activity, harassment, spam, or malware distribution
- attempting to access other users' servers or Sato infrastructure
- developing competing products using the service
- circumventing rate limits, security measures, or access controls
- scraping or using data to train AI/ML models without authorization
- reselling or redistributing access to the service
7. Third-Party Services
Sato integrates with third-party services that are subject to their own terms:
- AI model providers (via OpenRouter): Sato does not control model outputs; use is subject to provider terms.
- Telegram: messages flow through Telegram's infrastructure and are subject to Telegram's Terms of Service.
- Stripe: payment processing is subject to Stripe's terms.
- Hetzner: infrastructure is subject to their terms.
Sato is not liable for third-party service outages or changes.
8. Intellectual Property
- Sato's platform, branding, and code are owned by Sefiani Technologies.
- You retain ownership of your conversation content and personalization data.
- Sato does not claim rights over your conversations, which live on your dedicated server.
- You grant Sato a limited license to process your personalization preferences for service delivery.
9. Service Availability & Disclaimers
- The service is provided "as is" and "as available" — no uptime guarantees.
- AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. They do not constitute professional, medical, or legal advice.
- Sato does not back up conversation data on user servers. You are responsible for your own data.
- Sato may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
- Sato's total liability is capped at the fees paid by you in the preceding 12 months.
- Sato is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Sato is not liable for data loss on your dedicated server, third-party service failures, or AI-generated content.
11. Account Termination
- By you: cancel anytime; service remains active until the end of the billing period.
- By Sato for abuse or violation: immediate termination, no grace period; VPS destroyed.
- By Sato for non-payment: 7-day notice before VPS destruction.
Upon termination, your VPS and all data on it are permanently destroyed.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
- These Terms are governed by Belgian law.
- Disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Brussels, Belgium.
- Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under EU law.
13. Changes to These Terms
Sato may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The latest version is always available on this page.
